Not only is Vinsanto very special and considered a luxury wine, but it’s also steeped with history. Some say that it’s highly prized because it used to be an heirloom recipe, made by the patriarch of the family. Another legend comes from Siena, in which a fourteenth-century friar was handing out Vinsanto to the ill for its healing properties. Others explained that it used to be the wine used during mass at Church. Regardless of the origin, our tastebuds are thrilled of this sweet creation! Extremely floral and intense, Carpineto Farnito Vinsanto del Chianti offers succulent arrays of ripe apricot, peach, and pear aromas with layers of fresh walnut and jasmine. The complexity continues onto the palate with a great balance of fragrances, sweetness, and alcohol. Deliciously long and persistent finish. An ideal wine to sip and ponder about life or pair it up with balsamic caramelized fig tart tatin.
